Stage Veteran Susan Gordon Passes Away at 62

According to published reports, stage veteran Susan Gordon died on December 11, from thyroid cancer. She was 62 years old. She is survived by her parents, husband, six children and five grandchildren.

Susan began her career at age eight in the classic film Attack of The Puppet People. This film and two others she appeared in were directed by her father Bert I. Gordon, Tormented and Picture Mommy Dead. In 1959, she acted and sang in the semi-biographical film, The Five Pennies with Danny Kaye.

In television, Gordon appeared in The Twilight Zone episode "The Fugitive", as Jenny, a child with a leg brace who befriends a ruler of a planet. Other series included Gunsmoke, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, My Three Sons, The Danny Thomas Show, Route 66, Ben Casey, and The Donna Reed Show. On November 27, 1959, Gordon appeared in the live NBC Television broadcast of Miracle on 34th Street. In 2002, she starred in Off-Broadway's A Magic Place in a New Time.
