According to news releases, a new London-based recording company, Stage Door Records, celebrates its new label by launching four new remastered vintage albums: Wish You Were Here original Broadway cast recording, Pal Joey & On Your Toes original cast recordings (double-set), New Faces Of 1956 and Mrs. Patterson (two Broadway shows produced by Leonard Sillman in the 1950s), and Shirley Bassey - The Early Years.

Shirley Bassey - THE EARLY YEARS
Shirley Bassey began her recording career in 1956. Presented here are her very first recordings for Philips including her debut record 'Burn My Candle', selections from 'The Bewitching Miss Bassey' and for the first time on CD the then considered risque performance at London's Cafe De Paris'. This collection concludes with four unreleased recordings by Shirley's 1960s musical director Kenny Clayton playing tribute to Miss Bassey.

WISH YOU WERE HERE
ORIGINAL BROADWAY CAST

'Wish You Were Here' with music and lyrics by Harold Rome, fondly remembered as being the show with the swimming pool. The musical opened in June 1952 at New York's Imperial Theatre and starred Jack Cassidy, Sheila Bond and Patricia Marand. This collection also features rare bonus tracks performed by the shows composer Harold Rome and not forgetting the top hit of the title song by Eddie Fisher.

ON YOUR TOES & PAL JOEY
TWO GREAT SHOWS FROM Rodgers & Hart

'On Your Toes' and 'Pal Joey' are considered two of Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart's finest shows. Both these shows are presented here from two 1950s studio cast recordings making their CD debut. 'On Your Toes' features musical favourites Portia Nelson and Jack Cassidy and 'Pal Joey' stars big band vocalists Martha Tilton and June Hutton.

NEW FACES OF 1956 & SELECTIONS FROM MRS. PATTERSON

'New Faces Of 1956' and 'Mrs. Patterson', two Broadway shows produced by Leonard Sillman in the 1950s. Presented here for the first time on CD is the complete Original Broadway Cast Recording Of 'New Faces Of 1956' plus selections from the Original Broadway Cast of 'Mrs Patterson' starring the legendary Eartha Kitt.
