Socialyte to Host Annual #SocialyteGala

Influencer casting agency Socialyte will host its annual #SocialyteGala on Sunday, Sept. 8th, 2013 at 7pm at The Box. The event will benefit the Rescue Paw Foundation, a nonprofit created by London Jewelers founder Candy Udell.

Bringing together top fashion bloggers and lifestyle influencers such as Damsel in Dior, Wendy's Lookbook, and Viva Luxury the #SocialyteGala will award the very best in the field of luxury digital media.

Voting for nominees began Monday, August 26th at Pinterest.com/SocialyteCo.

Final winners will be selected based on amount of repins on Pinterest, with an industry committee selecting from the top three most pinned nominee images.

Award winners will be announced on September 8th at the #SocialyteGala, taking place at The Box, 189 Chrystie Street, 7PM - 11PM. This invite-only event will be hosted by Tumblr-sensation Menswear Dog, and feature master of ceremonies Trey Smith aka DJ AcE, live acts from The Box's theatre, and a special performance by Interscope's Natalia Kills (YouTube). Presenting sponsors include Style.com, Express, Pierre Michelle Salon, Songza, The Hunt, Pavan Liquor and Francis Ford Coppola Wines.

Winners in nominated categories will receive a Socialyte Award, a hanging pendant necklace featuring the agency's signature star logo. Designed by Satu and Celeste Greenberg, the sisters behind New York-based Tuleste, this custom statement piece will only be available to winners of the awards.

Select brands such as Club Monaco, Coach, Belle by Sigerson, the W Hotels, Luisa Via Roma and up and coming shoe label Modern Vice, were nominated for their initiatives featuring influential digital personalities. Digital media leaders like Refinery29 and StyleCaster were also tapped for awards, both leading with two nominations.

In beauty, the Lauren Conrad produced, The Beauty Department received 3 nominations, and Byrdie, a recent entrant into beauty by the creators of Who What Wear, received 2 nominations.

Some additions to the nominees include the controversial Get Off My Internets, plus-sized blogging star Nadia Aboulhosn, Hyrbrid Headpiece (The Hybrids), and the industries latest industry riser to become street style obsession, Kyle Editor.
