February 1, 2013 at 7:30PM at the Dramatists Guild as part of the Friday Night Footlights Series. Free Admission Impetus Ensemble has announced final casting for "NEMESIS," written by Frank J. Avella ("Vatican Falls," "Consent"). The play will feature Joshua Dixon, Cali Gilman, Gus Ibranyi and Salvatore Infantino. Stage Directions: Matthew Crooks.

"Nemesis" takes an unsparing look at retribution as a young woman makes it her mission to destroy a middle-aged, misanthropic gay writer by using her 18-year-old boyfriend as bait. The play blends harsh realism with black-comedy melodrama, revealing the humanity of its deeply damaged characters in unexpected ways and suggests an atypical type of salvation. The play contains strong language and is for mature audiences only.

The play runs approximately 85 minutes and will take place February 1, 2013 at 7:30PM. Location: The Dramatists Guild in the Frederick Loewe Room, 1501 Broadway (off 44th St), Suite 710, NYC. Admission is free. To RSVP, email impetusensemble@aol.com or call 973-715-2356.

Frank J. Avella (Author) wrote VATICAN FALLS, set against the backdrop of the Catholic sex abuse scandal. The play was presented last month by Theater for the New City. CONSENT, a play that confronts bullying and homophobia, was a 2012 semi-finalist for the O'Neill National Playwrights Conference and received a workshop production this past October at the Celebration Theatre in Los Angeles. He is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild. Frank is working on his 17th full length play.
