Professional gambler Cliff has got it bad. His daughter doesn't need him, his wife might leave him, and his newspaper vender Iftikhar, whose mother country is at war, just might kill him. Witness Cliff's darkly comic, spiraling descent into a paranoid mythology of power-point presentations, rolls of quarters and hostage videos. Can our migraine-plagued redheaded founding father Thomas Jefferson save the day? Enter with caution into a desperation-filled dreamscape, where the sanest inhabitant may be Thomas Jefferson. (With songs.)

SOHO THINK TANK strengthens, nurtures and promotes an aesthetically and culturally diverse community of independent theatre artists and theatre companies by producing, presenting and programming new work at the Ohio Theatre, in Soho.

Robert Lyons is the Founding Artistic Director of the OBIE Award winning Soho Think Tank. He is both a writer and director. In a TimeOut NY profile Lyons' original writing was characterized as "Ralph Nader channeling Preston Sturges." His New York productions include The Doorman's Double Duty ("A gem" ~ The New York Times/Neil Genzlinger), Creature of the Deep, No Meat No Irony and PR Man, among many others. Other plays include: Dream Conspiracy, Bunko, Vater Knows Best and The Naked Anarchist. Commissioned adaptations range from Dostoevsky (The Possessed and The Fever) to Jay McInerney (How it Ended).

Director Oliver Butler is the co-Artistic Director of The Debate Society, a Brooklyn-based play-making company. In New York he has directed Cape Disappointment (4 stars ~ TimeOut NY), Hostage Song ("A thrilling show...spine-tingling fun" ~ TimeOut NY/David Cote), The Eaten Heart ("The cast and crew may call themselves the Debate Society, but their talent and inventiveness is never really in question" ~ TimeOut NY/David Cote), The Snow Hen, A Thought About Raya, After, Seduced, Christmas with the Flamingos and Sold Out: The Rock Musical. Butler was the Assistant Artistic Director of The Berkshire Theatre Festival, where he directed The Einstein Project and This is our Youth.

The cast includes Danny Beiruti, Alan Benditt, Nicole Raphael, Danielle Skraastad and Peter Sprague.

The design team consists of Nathan Leigh (Sound Design), Sydney Maresca (Costume Design) and Mike Riggs (Lighting Design).
