STONE SOUP Pairs With God’s Love We Deliver for Volunteer Services

STONE SOUP, which opened September 18th at The Players Theatre, 115 MacDougal Street, features music by Michael Sgouros, book and lyrics by Brenda Bell. Set in Revolutionary War America, two lost soldiers stumble upon the "perfect" village while searching for food and shelter. Unfortunately, the villagers are not so willing to share with these weary men until the soldiers begin to make their favorite meal - Stone Soup. A talented cast of professional adults and local children performing with a live percussion ensemble bring this classic fable to life on stage with mirth and music, demonstrating that anything is possible if we all work together.
Brenda Bell, Artistic Director of Literally Alive Theatre said: "The goal of this collaboration is to build on the spirit of both Stone Soup and God's Love We Deliver. We offer our family audiences an opportunity to engage with their community and deepen their understanding of hunger in NYC. We are empowering our young audience by offering them real-life activities that make a difference."
