Academy Award and GRAMMY(R) Award-winning superstar Jennifer Hudson performed on the BOSTON POPS FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR, an entertainment special which was broadcast live from the Charles River Esplanade in Boston, last night, July 4th on the CBS Television Network. For the second consecutive year, Emmy Award-winning actor Michael Chiklis, star of the highly anticipated new CBS drama series VEGAS, hosted the special.

Hudson performed her signature tune, "And I Am Telling You" from Broadway's Dreamgirls. After thunderstorms moved into the area, the Esplanade was temporarily cleared, but eventually the crowd was let back in and the show went on as the American Idol alum sang "Feeling Good." Check out both performances below!

Jennifer Hudson is an Academy Award-winning actress and GRAMMY Award-winning recording artist. In 2007, she won an Academy Award for her role as Effie in the smash hit Dreamgirls. She will portray Veronica Moore, a Tony Award-winning Broadway star who impacts the lives of Karen (Katharine McPhee) and Ivy (Megan Hilty).

Hudson's 2008 self-titled debut album won a GRAMMY Award for Best R&B Album, which was presented by one of Hudson's idols, Whitney Houston. The certified gold album entered Billboard's Top 200 at #2 and has since sold more than 1.1 million albums worldwide.
