Laura Benanti might be soon appearing on NBC's 'The Playboy Club,' but she will first make an appearance in an upcoming episode of Showtime's 'The Big C,' where she stars as the wife of Alan Alda. Benanti was last seen on Broadway in WOMEN ON THE VERGE OF A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN, for which she received a Tony nomination and a Drama Desk Award, among others. She is a previous Tony winner for Gypsy.
THE BIG C stars Laura Linney in her Golden Globe® Award-winning and Emmy®-nominated role as Cathy Jamison. This season, Cathy progressed from Denial to Anger on the grief cycle and has become an all-out warrior in the fight against her Stage 4 melanoma, while her husband, Paul (Oliver Platt), stepped up to become her greatest advocate and treatment "cancierge."
