On this morning's episode of the ABC talk show THE VIEW, the panel took on the heated controversy over Rush Limbaugh's recent comments on birth control. Twelve advertisers have now pulled their ads from Limbaugh's show since the backlash began over his remarks about Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke.

The ladies discussed a recent comment by sitcom star Patricia Heaton, who tweeted "If your parents have to pay for your birth control, maybe they should have a say who you sleep with." The reaction to these tweets was overwhelmingly negative, and Heaton issued an apology, writing "Mea Culpa Sandra...so sorry."

Elisabeth Hasselbeck, known for being the 'Republican voice' of THE VIEW remarked "I'm not going to defend the entire Republican party; they have to defend themselves." And Joy Behar reminded the group that "Rush Limbaugh's the culprit, not Patricia Heaton."
