SHREK THE MUSICAL to Open at the Alhambra Theatre & Dining This Summer
The Jacksonville dinner theater will stage the beloved fairy tale musical with book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire.
This summer, the beloved ogre with a heart of gold storms onto the stage as Shrek the Musical opens June 18 at the Alhambra Theatre & Dining, running through August 9. Presented by Atlantic Self Storage, Shrek the Musical is packed with outrageous comedy, dazzling costumes, big Broadway numbers and a lovable cast of fairy tale misfits, this larger-than-life musical adventure promises fun for audiences of all ages.
Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks film franchise, Shrek the Musical follows the unlikely hero Shrek as he sets out to rescue the feisty Princess Fiona, accompanied by a wisecracking Donkey and pursued by a kingdom of storybook chaos. Along the way, audiences will discover that happily ever after comes in all shapes, sizes and shades of green.
