Rosie O'Donnell to Host MSNBC Primetime Talk Show?

Variety reports Rosie O'Donnell is currently in talks with MSNBC to host a primetime talk show to air weeknights at 9PM (EST).  The program would "likely focus on current events and would premiere just in time for O'Donnell to sound-off on the upcoming presidential election."  Representatives for O'Donnell or MSNBC have neither commented or confirmed the deal.

Rosie O'Donnell is a 13-time Emmy Award-winning American comedienne, talk show host, television personality, celebrity blogger, gay rights activist, film, television, and stage actress.  She has appeared on Broadway in Fiddler on the Roof and Seussical! She also produced Taboo.

Rosie O'Donnell established the "Rosie's For All Kids Foundation," in 1997 which has raised more than $56 million and awarded more than $22 million dollars in grants to over 1,400 child-related non-profit organizations to benefit low-income families across the country.  In 2003, O'Donnell established "Rosie's Broadway Kids," a program that provides instruction in musical theater to the public school children of New York.

Rosie O'Donnell is an often-advocate for New York theatre, featuring Broadway performances on her Emmy Award-winning talk-show "The Rosie O'Donnell Show," which ran 1996 to 2001.  She was last seen as a co-host on the tenth season of ABC's "The View. She recently released her second book called Celebrity Detox with Warner books. Additionally, The Gallery at New World Stages is currently presenting "Solace" the art of Rosie O'Donnell on exhibition through December 2.
