Comedians Ronny Chieng and Phil Hanley are coming up this month at Comedy Works. Scroll down for details!

Ronny Chieng (August 25 - 28 at Comedy Works Downtown in Larimer Square) is a Chinese stand-up comedian and actor, who is currently a correspondent on Comedy Central's The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.

Ronny has sold out comedy tours globally in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia and London. He was invited to open for Dave Chappelle and Bill Burr on their national stand-up tours of Australia. Ronny also had the privilege to perform at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal three times.

Ronny has toured and recorded four highly praised one-hour stand-up comedy specials titled The Ron Way, Can You Do This? No You Can't, Chieng Reaction, and You Don't Know What You're Talking About.

In Australia, Ronny wrote and acted in multiple television comedy series such as Problems, Legally Brown, It's a Date, Kinne and more. Most recently, Ronny co-created and starred in his own TV comedy pilot, International Student, on the ABC (Australia) and made his U.S. television debut on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.

Phil Hanley (August 18 - 21 at Comedy Works South at the Landmark) began stand-up comedy by performing at open mics around Vancouver, BC, often in between bands at music venues. Phil's style can best be described as unpredictably reflective, delivered with sharp accuracy, and rooted in the grand tradition of joke telling.

The Montreal Gazette recognized Phil's jokes at the Just for Laughs Festival as the "Best Jokes of the Festival." He was also named one of the five "Comics Creating a Buzz" at the festival by The Hollywood Reporter and was rewarded with a featured segment on The Tonight Show.

After touring Canada exclusively, Phil relocated to the States where he has appeared on The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson, John Oliver's New York Stand Up Show, The Pete Holmes Show, @Midnight, and Late Night with Seth Meyers. He has performed at most of the major festivals in North America including a return to Just for Laughs in Montreal.

Most recently, Phil's been on the road with AZIZ ANSARI and premiered his Comedy Central stand-up special The 1/2 Hour.
