Mary-Louise Parker , who begins performances in RECKLESS on Broadway this Thursday, September 23, received an Emmy Award last night for Best Supporting Performance by an Actress in a Mini-series for her role of Harper Pitt in HBO's "Angels in America".

Reckless. written by Craig Lucas and directed by Mark Brokaw , opens October 14th at the Biltmore Theatre (261 West 47th Street). The play is a co-production by Manhattan Theatre Club and Second Stage Theatre.

It's Christmas Eve, Rachel's ( Mary-Louise Parker ) son has "fired" her, her husband's put out a contract on her life, and so she's out the window - literally. This bittersweet comedy follows Rachel through a bizarre, fantastic, and sometimes nightmarish journey as she travels across the country, finding "home" with a succession of intimate strangers.
Mary-Louise Parker has a celebrated history with both the playwright and director of this production, having earned her first Tony nomination for her performance in Craig Lucas' play, Prelude To A Kiss . She also appeared in the film version of Reckless as the paraplegic Pooty, and in the film, Longtime Companion , which was written by Mr. Lucas. For Reckless , Ms. Parker is being reunited with Mark Brokaw, her director for the Pulitzer Prize-winning play, How I Learned To Drive .
