Political Drama FLACO to be Presented at IHRAF Festival
Written by Dakota Silvey, FLACO will have its world premiere at The 30th Street Theater.
Written by Dakota Silvey, the World Premiere of FLACO is a featured selection of the Hannah Arendt Special IHRAF Festival, running from June 5-7, 2026, at The 30th Street Theater. The production will star Vaibhav Taparia.
FLACO explores the friction between two disparate worlds in the heart of Central Park. When a political activist encounters a memorial, a sharp-witted debate ignites over what makes a cause truly worthy of our time. Part political comedy and part philosophical inquiry, the play critiques those on the sidelines and examines the motivations of those driven to act.
The Hannah Arendt Special Festival celebrates the life of the influential thinker (1906-1975) whose work on totalitarianism and the "banality of evil" remains urgently relevant. FLACO serves as a vital pillar of this celebration, challenging audiences to look up at the "half-vacant penthouses looming over Central Park" and engage with the world around them.
