Students from Queens School of Inquiry joined Wood and Chess music director Weinberger for a three-song program at the Yale Club of New York City.
Education Through Music presented a special student performance at the Yale Club of New York City featuring Broadway’s Morgan Anita Wood, best known for her roles in the Broadway musical Hamilton, where she currently stars as Eliza, and music director Ian Weinberger, music director of Chess on Broadway, alongside students from Queens School of Inquiry. The performance was part of an inspiring evening bringing together supporters and friends of ETM to celebrate music, community, and impact. See photos from the event here!
Students took the stage with the artists for a three-song program. The performance opened with “Holding Out for a Hero,” sung by the students and accompanied by Weinberger. Wood then performed a solo selection “That Would Be Enough”, also accompanied by Weinberger. The evening concluded with “For Good,” performed by Wood and the students together, creating a heartfelt finale.
“Supporting ETM’s mission and sharing the stage with these students was incredibly meaningful,” said Morgan Anita Wood. “I believe deeply in the transformative power of the arts, and it was inspiring to witness these young performers finding their voices and sharing their joy so fully.”
“It was a privilege to support these young musicians in bringing this music to life,” said Ian Weinberger. “Moments like this highlight how impactful access to music education can be.”
