Mummenschanz, the renowned theatrical troupe, returns to the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts (566 LaGuardia Place) for 12 performances only. Part of a US national tour, the New York engagement begins tonight, November 20, and runs through November 30. The show will feature some of the most popular sketches created and performed by the internationally renowned troupe, as well as brilliant new creations (including one world premiere created especially for New York audiences). Earlier today, MUMMENSCHANZ offered a special preview, and you can scroll down for a sneak peek at the cast onstage!

Mummenschanz conjures a magical world, full of possibilities, without uttering a word. The troupe's playful and memorable exploits display an enormously inventive use of forms, shadow and light as well as creative manipulation of sculptural, expressive masks and abstract shapes. The result is a visually stunning spectacle of entertainment that is suitable for the entire family to enjoy. Mummenschanz offers timeless insight on the human condition. The result transcends cultural barriers and sparks the imagination. The entire program of sculptural puppetry and visual antics is performed without music or sound.

Since its three year run on Broadway, Mummenschanz has pioneered a new form of visual theater and has constantly and successfully toured in 60 countries on five continents. In the last three years, they have been to London, Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Milan, Berlin, Vienna, Mexico City, and South Africa.

Tickets for Mummenschanz range from $49-$85 and are on sale at www.MummenschanzNY.com or at 888-611-8183.
