The 82nd Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade took place yesterday in Manhattan, Broadway favorites such as Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth joined in on the fun, BroadwayWorld took a break from the turkey and stuffing and captured all the Thanksgiving action with our cameras!
Started in 1924 as a Christmas parade, the event evolved into Macy's biggest holiday shopping event.
The parade brought nearly 3.5 million people to the streets of New York City yesterday and was broadcast to an additional 50 million North American television screens. The festive event hosts a variety of colorful floats, giant balloon characters that soar above the crowds as well as stars of the stage and screen.
