Direct from sold out performances at the New Conservatory Centre Theatre in San Francisco, and his 2 year national tour, singer/actor/producer Franc D'Ambrosio will take the stage at Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette St.) for one night only, Sunday, April 30th at 7pm in Franc D'Ambrosio's Broadway.

Written and directed by Abe Reybold with Musical Direction by John Boswell, as well as arrangements by Reybold and Boswell, Franc D'Ambrosio's Broadway brings "The World's Longest Running Phantom" to Joe's Pub for his New York singing debut.

Growing up in a family of bakers in the Bronx, New York, the furthest thing from D'Ambrosio's mind was that he would one day star in the now legendary Andrew Lloyd Weber musical The Phantom of the Opera. In fact, he not only portrayed the famed masked man, but did so close to 3,000 times, earning the title, "The World's Longest Running Phantom.

He made his Broadway debut in the revival of Sweeney Todd, and was then called in to audition for a film called "Secret Journal 2." What D'Ambrosio didn't know was the real title of the film, and that he would be meeting famed director Francis Ford Coppola for the role of Anthony Corleone in The Godfather Part III. He was cast as Al Pacino's opera singing son after an international search lasting more than a year. The film received 7 Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture and Best Score, featuring Franc on the Original Motion Picture soundtrack. He is the first and only person to ever sing Carmine Coppola's Godfather theme in the film trilogy.

The Godfather III opened many doors for the perormer, but none as significant as The Phantom of the Opera. He went in to read for the role of "Chris" in Miss Saigon, and left with an offer for the Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Tony Award-winning musical. Casting D'Ambrosio as the masked man also made him the youngest Phantom ever, spending a year and a half on the road with the National Tour, and five years with the production in San Francisco.

He is currently the #1 selling and touring artist on the LML Music label and in November 2005, received a "Grammy Consideration for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album" for Franc D'Ambrosio's Broadway.

Admission is $25/2 drink or $12 food minimum. Visit the Public Theater Box Office or call Telecharge at (212)239-6200. Visit www.francdambrosio.com for more information.
