Broadway legend Bernadette Peters has lined up a few television appearances.

On Wednesday, July 27th, Peters will both co-host and perform on Live with Regis & Kelly (which airs at 9 AM EST in New York; check locas listings); it will be a nostalgic episode to fans who remember Peters co-hosting the show for a stint between the departure of Kathie Lee Gifford and the hiring of Kelly Ripa.  On Saturday, July 30th, Peters will also appear on CBS' Early Show at 8:30 AM (EST).

A two-time Tony-winner for Song and Dance and Annie Get Your Gun, Peters has received Tony nominations for her performances in the 1972 revival of On the Town, Mack and Mabel, Sunday in the Park with George, The Goodbye Girl and the 2003 revival of Gypsy, in which she startlingly reinvented the role of Rose. She also originated the role of the Witch in Into the Woods, and has appeared in such films as Slaves of New York, Alice, The Jerk and It Runs in the Family.

In other Peters news, Angel Records will release Sondheim Etc., Etc.?: Live at Carnegie Hall (The Rest of It), the follow-up to her first Sondheim Etc. album.  The CD will feature

never-before-released highlights not included in the initial concert recording. Marvin Laird is the musical director and conductor of the album, which features arrangements and orchestrations by Laird, Jonathan Tunick, Peter Matz, Billy Byers, Don Sebesky, Michael Starobin, and Philip J. Lang.
