Recently, they turned 13, propelling them to compete against much older dancers in national competitions. It did not deter ballroom dancing phenoms Patryk Ploszaj and Anna Kaczmarski from an overwhelming victory this past weekend in the Tri-State Championships held at the Stamford, CT, Marriott Hotel.

Patryk and Anna are in the six-couple cast of the "We Are The Champions" ballroom extravaganza that returns to the Westchester Broadway Theatre in Elmsford for a one-night engagement Tuesday evening, April 5.

Patryk and Anna are one of the most sought-after dance couples in America following their run to the finals on the hit NBC-TV show America's Got Talent last fall. They were featured in the show's 25-cities tour and headlined the New Year's Eve show at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas.

In Stamford the youngsters faced off against 15 other couples from throughout the United States. There was a quarterfinal and semifinal round prior to the six-couple final that witnessed Patryk and Anna winning straight first places from each member of the judging panel. "These kids dance with confidence and a calmness on their faces," quipped one highly respected dance official. "For their age they are truly amazing. " For the record, Patryk and Anna depart for Moscow this Friday to compete in the World Youth Latin Championship before appearing at the WBT. Joining them in Westchester are 2-time World Professional 10-Dance Champions Gherman Mustuc and Iveta Lukosiute; Dmitri and Svetlana Ostashkin now from Ardsley; the former Latin Champions of Eastern Europe, Igor Litvinov and Julia Ivleva; winners of 60 major titles in America, and Plamen Danailov and Tina Gerova; British and South American Showdance Finalists Also, Argentine Tango stars Ivan Terrazas and Sara Grdan.

A limited number of tickets are available for the WBT show and can be purchased by calling the box office at (914) 592-222, or online at www.BroadwayTheatre.com. Tickets are $75 per person plus tax and include a complete served meal featuring your choice from six entrees. Doors open at 6 p.m. with showtime at 8 p.m. 1 Broadway Plaza in Elmsford.
