To launch the ONLY New York Festival celebrating New York's thriving musical theatre and all of the artists -- the actors, composers and musicians who make up this special community -- NYMF will present a one-night only event that promises to be both spectacularly unpredictable as well as spectacularly entertaining -- as only New York's best and brightest talent could.

Budding photogs and autograph hounds, get ready! That's because the night will start at 6:OO PM at New York's glamorous China Club situated in the heart of the Theatre District where only the VIPs will get the chance to have an up close and personal meet-and-greet with some of the theatre's biggest stars whose names have lit Broadway's brightest marquees.

Mingle with stars such as Kerry Butler, Jim Dale, Barbara Feldon, Tovah Feldshuh, George Hearn, Dee Hoty, Judy Kaye, Donna Murphy, Nancy Opel, Tonya Pinkins, Christy Carlson Romano, Carole Shelley, Lillias White and literally dozens of others...

The evening will continue with a silent auction for ONLY VIPs that will boast amazing and one-of-a-kind items that money can't buy.

At NYMF will present a show, produced, written and performed especially for this, the Opening Night of the New York Musical Theatre Festival. The stage will be set to celebrate New York City, some of the musical theatre's most beloved songs... and some of the Festival's most gifted composers who will be featured at this year's Festival. (We'll also throw in a "fresh face" for good measure.) The stars will be out in full-force as Broadway's biggest names will surprise the audience with classic musical theatre songs, as well as with songs that are sure to be classics. (We can't tell you who's performing yet because, well, that would ruin the surprise. But bet on stars from some of Broadway's biggest shows from the past, present and future.)

And it won't be time to go home, because the night will end on a high-note with an after party at at The China Club where theatre lovers can mix, mingle and be merry.

Directed by Sheryl Kaller and Howie Cherpakov. Written by Ben Cameron.
