New York & Company, Inc. announced that it has initiated a search for a new Chief Operating Officer and that Laura Weil, Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer since June of 2012, has resigned her position with the Company effective immediately.

"We thank Laura for her contributions to New York & Company over the past two years and we wish her well in her future endeavors," stated Greg Scott, New York & Company's CEO. "In the interim, while we search for a new Chief Operating Officer, we are pleased to have a solid team in place that can effectively manage our operations and continue to make progress toward our goals of improved operating performance and long term growth."
