New Musical MUFFIN MAN Premieres At FringeNYC 8/21 Thru 8/27
Muffin Man, a new musical by Camille Harris, is coming to the New York International Fringe Festival-FringeNYC 2009 as a production of the Present Company.
The Silly Jazz Company is proud to present the New York premier of Muffin Man as part of the 13th annual New York International Fringe Festival - FringeNYC. Muffin Man is a whimsical musical written and directed by comedian Camille Harris about a little barista in love with the Muffin Man. Goofy customers, over-enthusiastic parents, and best friends are all in a day's work for Lyla. Can she tell the Muffin Man how she feels? A modern take on the classic nursery rhyme, Muffin Man will leave a smile on your face.
The cast features Samantha Blain, Alyssa Chase, Sara Dobrinich, Benjamin Fisher, Ben Glaser, Michael Hill, Scott Johnson, Ben Prayz, and Shaye Troha.
Camille Harris graduated from Emerson College with a BFA in Musical Theater. Muffin Man was first produced at The Greene Theater in Boston, MA and a staged reading of Muffin Man was produced at The Araca Group in Spring 2009. Camille has performed her songs at Ars Nova Theater, The Duplex Cabaret, The Reprise Room, and at the Royal Oak in Brooklyn as a regular in the variety show The Moon.
