According to The Hollywood Reporter, Nathan Lane, Kyra Sedgwick, Marcia Cross and Mark Harmon are scheduled to appear with an already star-studded cast on the 'Stand Up to Cancer' Telethon airing tonight at 8 p.m.

The special will be a one-hour live fundraising event aimed at accelerating innovative cancer research and featuring musical guests and celebrities asking viewers, "Will you stand up with us?" According to the official website, the event will be simulcast commercial-free on all major networks and many cable networks (as well as the Armed Forces Network).

"Plain and simple, cancer takes too much from us," said Laura Ziskin, cancer survivor, Stand Up to Cancer co-founder and executive producer of tonight's broadcast.

"Loved ones lost to it, pain and suffering endured by those in treatment, even the recent report that cancer has the most devastating economic impact of any cause of death...this disease exacts a very high price. We want people all over the country to rise up and say, ‘ENOUGH!'"

Phone banks will open at 7:30 p.m. EST, 4:30 p.m. PST.
