The Amas Musical Theatre Lab continues its series this month with the new musical FRIDA, set for today and tomorrow, October 25-26 at The Theatre at the 14th Street Y.

Frida Kahlo was a woman of indomitable spirit, who overcame multiple injuries to become one of the most unique artists of the Twentieth Century.

Frida the musical weaves magic realism with a contemporary Latin pop score to tell the story of her unique artistic vision and her turbulent relationship with the famous Mexican muralist Diego Rivera.

Featuring: Natalie Toro, Elizabeth Acosta, Anthony Alfaro, Danny Bolero, Aymee Garcia, Felipe Gonzalez, Veronica Vasquez-Jackson, Deon Oliverio Ricardo, George Salazar, Renoly Santiago, and Vanessa Verduga.

Creative team: Stage Manager: Ashley Zednick; Musical Director: Doug Oberhamer. Directed by Maria Torres.
