The Broadway at Birdland concert series has announced the return of singer Natalie Douglas to the stage in Nina 2: More Songs of Nina Simone, on Monday, September 12 at 7pm.

Several years after the Birdland debut and live recording of the original tribute, To Nina..., Natalie and her longtime musical director, Mark Hartman, along with her band of Broadway All-Stars, resume their loving tribute to Dr. Nina Simone with a new concert featuring a fresh new set of musical gems left us by the late, great Nina Simone. Included in the concert will be beloved treasures such as "Wild is the Wind," "Mississippi Goddam," "Sinnerman," and lesser-known delights like "In the Dark" and "Marriage is For Old Folks".

Natalie Douglas is a seven-time MAC Award Winner, a Nightlife Award Winner and a Backstage Bistro Award Winner whose concert appearances include Birdland Jazz Club as part of the Broadway at Birdland series, Feinstein's at the Regency, The Kennedy Center and many of The Mabel Mercer Foundation's Cabaret Conventions across the U.S. and in London. As a singer, she's opened five shows in the past two years - "To Lena...a Tribute to the Lady & Her Music," "The Heart of The Matter," "A Change Is Gonna Come," "Lena & Nina...a tribute to Lena Horne & Nina Simone," and "Nat Sings Nat - The Songs of Nat "King" Cole." Natalie's second CD, To Nina...Live At Birdland, was released to critical delight and selections from that CD and her first, Not That Different, continue to be heard on NPR, Sirius and XM Radio. She also appears on Fine and Dandy for PS Classics and Broadway By The Year: 1940 on Bayview Records. As an actor, she has appeared in 18 editions of The Atrainplays at The Neighborhood Playhouse, The Peter Sharp Theatre and New World Stages and in The People vs. Mona, a new work by the writers of Pumpboys & Dinettes. Natalie made her feature debut in the horror film, "The Camera's Eye," appeared in the ABC series "Cupid," a national commercial for Disney's Broadway show, Mary Poppins, and can also be seen with her gorgeous husband, showing off the good education her parents paid for on The Discovery Channel's "Cash Cab." Natalie is a graduate of USC with a Magna Cum Laude Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology with certificates in Theatre and Women's Studies and holds a Master's Degree in Psychology from UCLA.
