Nat Osborn, Gideon Grove, Christy Thompson, and Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI), the leading global music rights organization that represents more than 550,000 songwriters, composers and music publishers in all genres of music and more than 7.5 million works, will appear at the BMI Acoustic Lounge, an exciting showcase featuring up-and-coming singer-songwriters from all genres. This monthly series is designed to expose BMI performers to the public and music industry through an intimate showcase. Admission is free.

The showcase is set for Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Show begins at 9:00 p.m. at Rockwood Music Hall - Stage 1 (196 Allen Street, NYC 10002).

Nat Osborn: New York native Nat Osborn set aside the various bands and projects he was working on in order to realize a longtime vision: He wanted to create a band. The Nat Osborn Band took shape as a seven-piece band with a three-piece horn section. With the help of producer Alex Bilowitz, Nate was able to create the album The King and the Clown, which features songs that reflect social and political issues, and songs of longing, lost love and hopeless attraction. www.natosborn.com

Gideon Grove: For Washington, D.C., based singer/songwriter Gideon Grove, music is in his blood. At an early age, he played alongside his family in a string quartet and later attended Catholic University on a music scholarship. This continued pursuit led to the release of his first album Wildfires, which debuted in the top 20 singer-songwriter albums on iTunes following its release last year. Commenting on the release, The Washington Post stated, "...Grove creates an epic and sweeping sonic tapestry that simply feels good to listen to." Big things lie ahead for this singer-songwriter, including a feature of his song "Beside Still Waters" featured in Crate and Barrel stores nationwide. www.gideongrove.com

Christy Thompson: Since making New York City her home almost four years ago, Christy Thompson, now 22, has quickly become the artist to watch in the downtown music scene. With shows at Webster Hall Studio, Highline Ballroom, Piano's, Canal Room and countless others, she's built a loyal following of fans impressed with her stage presence and emotional performances. Her powerful voice, big catchy choruses, and relatable stories make for an astonishing electronic pop-rock sound and can be heard in her single "Now or Never," penned by Christy and produced by Brooklyn-based duo Jamie Biden and Sanford Livingston. www.christythompsonmusic.com
