Superstitious schoolmaster Ichabod Crane loves 18-year-old Katrina Van Tassel in "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow." There are only two things standing in his way in 1790s Tarry Town, New York. One is Abraham "Brom Bones" Van Brunt; the other is the ghost of a man who lost his head in a battle during the Revolutionary War. Taking on a bully is one thing, but the Headless Horseman is quite another. Meadow Brook Theatre is excited to present the World premiere of this adaptation by Jefferson Garrett.

Meadow Brook Theatre is pleased to welcome the return of many MBT veterans for this new show. Rusty Mewha plays Ichobod Crane and Katie Hardy is Katrina Van Tassel, with Aaron T. Moore as Abraham "Brom Bones" Van Brunt and Rick Carver as The Headless Horseman. The remainder of the adult cast includes Loren Bass (Father, Baltus Van Tassel), Julia Glander (Esther Van de Graaff), Andrea Mellos (Eleanor Brinkerhoff) and Ann O'Brien (Ilsa Brinkerhoff). Villagers are played by Erin Benjamin, Remy, Casey Rebecca Nunes and Alex Pedica.
Several area youngsters will share the children's roles, including Christian and Colin Heinemann(Oakland Twp), Grant and Henry Cleaveland(Troy), Isabell Hansen(Lake Orion) and Suzanne Wdowik(Troy).

"The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" is directed by Travis W. Walter, MBT's interim artistic director and winner of this year's Wilde Award for his direction of last season's MBT production of "Beyond the Rainbow."
Terry W. Carpenter, MBT's associate director, is the stage manager. The design team includes: sets by Brian Kessler, costumes by Liz Moore, lighting by Reid G. Johnson and sound by Mike Duncan.

Tickets range from $24 to $39 and are available by calling the Meadow Brook Theatre box office at 248-377-3300 or online through TicketMaster at www.ticketmaster.com.
