Deadline.com exclusively reports today that God of Carnage alumna Janet McTeer has signed up for The Woman in Black film, starring alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Ciaran Hinds. Based on Susan Hill's novel of the same name, The Woman In Black film adaptation was overseen by Jane Goldman (Kick-Ass).
According to the report, Radcliffe will play Arthur Kipps, a detective in this Victorian mystery with Hinds as landowner Mr. Daily who provides counsel. McTeer will play Hinds' wife.
James Watkins (Eden Lake) will direct the film, which will begin production on September 23. Hammer Films (of Exclusive Media Group) and Alliance Films produce. Originally announced to be presented in 3D, Deadline now reports that the film will be shot in traditional 2D.
