Broadway Artists Alliance, the dynamic not-for-profit educational organization that is gaining a reputation for ensuring the future of great Broadway talent by bringing together Broadway artists and promising young performers, offers a special double master class weekend December 15th and 16th.

Broadway Artists Alliance's special monthly master class series provides training that is specific to the themes of current Broadway shows.   The next two scheduled classes feature special guest instructors Megan McGinnis of Les Miserables (December 15th) and Michelle Kittrell of Legally Blonde (December 16th).

Twenty lucky and talented young performers ages 10-19 will have the opportunity this December to study with these prominent Broadway performers, as well as receive direct feedback from the casting directors that work on Les Miserables and Legally Blonde, respectively.  For young singers with the hope of some day performing on the Broadway stage,  this will surely be an experience to be remembered!

Students attending the Les Miserables themed master class will participate in a "Song Interpretation" class with the lovely and talented Megan McGinnis (most widely known for her performance as Belle in Beauty and the Beast and Beth in Little Women on Broadway).  Ms. McGinnis is currently playing the role of Eponine in Broadway's Les Miserables. In addition to having the chance to work with McGinnis one on one, and be mentored by this Broadway Starlet, each young singer will participate in an audition technique class with a representative from Tara Rubin Casting.

Students attending the Legally Blonde themed master class will have the opportunity to learn choreography from the show's dance captain (and 3-time Gypsy Robe winner), Michelle Kittrell. They will also learn and be coached on music from the show, as well as participate in a vocal audition technique class with a representative from Telsey & Co.

Other recent Broadway Artists Alliance guest mentors and master class instructors have included Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell, etc), Lea Michele (Spring Awakening), John Lloyd Young (Jersey Boys), Sutton Foster (Young Frankenstein), Lauren Kennedy (Spamalot), Beth Leavel (The Drowsy Chaperone), Lea Salonga (Miss Saigon, Les Miserables), John Gallagher Jr (Spring Awakening), and Jason Robert Brown (Parade, 13 the Musical).

Applications are still being accepted from talented young performers interested in having the chance to study with the masters!  Prospective students may visit the Broadway Artists Alliance's website (www.broadwayartistsalliance.org/masterclasses) for the application and full one-day master class schedule.

Additional upcoming master classes include Mary Poppins, Wicked, and Spring Awakening (reprised by popular demand).  Please visit www.broadwayartistsalliance.org for further national auditions and program information.
