The battle of the sexes is on! Some of the most memorable Broadway characters will square off in Guys vs. Dolls: A Musical Survey of Sex and Sexism featuring the songs of Cole Porter, Frank Loesser, Rodgers & Hammerstein and many more. Explore the passion and perils of love and marriage as depicted by the great writers of Broadway, including Cole Porter, Frank Loesser, Irving Berlin, Lerner & Loewe, Yip Harburg, Burton Lane, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Rodgers & Hart, Stephen Sondheim, Jule Styne, Meredith Willson, William Finn, Maltby & Shire and Jerry Herman.

The evening features a star-studded cast including Matthew Scott (Jersey Boys, Sondheim on Sondheim),Michael Winther (Mamma Mia!), Sally Wilfert (Assassins), Jill Abramovitz (Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella), Adam Overett (The Light in the Piazza) and Maria-Christina Oliveras (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson). Music directed by David Loud, directed & choreographed by Dev Janki.

Broadway Close Up gives theater fans a new perspective on the shows and songs they love. Compelling performances along with eye-opening interviews with theater writers and composers that illuminate the creative process have made Broadway Close Up a must-see for New York's most serious and knowledgeable theater fans.

The season concludes with a celebration of Harold Arlen's Broadway and Hollywood musicals including The Wizard of Oz and St. Louis Woman.

Seventy-six years after The Wizard of Oz, the songs of composer Harold Arlen remain as fresh and popular as ever. Together with lyricists like Johnny Mercer, Yip Harburg and Ira Gershwin, he's taught generations how to "Accentuate the Positive" and sing the "Blues in the Night." One of the most prolific and celebrated contributors to the Great American Songbook, Arlen spanned both Hollywood (The Wizard of Oz, A Star is Born) and Broadway (House of Flowers, St. Louis Woman).
