Dwelvan David (Caroline, or Change, The Wiz, Songs for a New World), Jenna Leigh Green (Wicked, Bare, "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch"), Alex Goley (Big River, The Berenstain Bears Live!), Eryn Murman (Spring Awakening), Darren Ritchie (Wonderland, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Dracula The Musical, Little Shop of Horrors, Nerds) and Matt Shingledecker (West Side Story, Rent, Spring Awakening) will lead the cast of STANDBY, an Official Selection of the 2013 New York Musical Theatre Festival Next Link Project.

A musical about making connections, finding love, and traveling on, STANDBY centers on five strangers who meet in an airport standby line and must decide among themselves who deserves to get on the next flight. They soon realize that this is no ordinary airport and their meeting is by no means a coincidence. With a pop-rock score, this musical reminds us how interconnected we are.

STANDBY is based on a concept by Alfred Solis. It features book and lyrics by Mark-Eugene Garcia andAlfred Solis and music by Amy Baer and Keith Robinson.

The production will be directed by Carlos Armesto (Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Spring Awakening, The Who's Tommy) and choreographed by Elisabetta Spuria (Spring Awakening, Footloose, Tess, Zelda at the Oasis).

Scenic design is by Patrick Rizzotti. Costume design is by Jennifer Caprio. Lighting design is by Jake DeGroot. Casting is by Daryl Eisenberg Casting. Rob Cookman is the assistant music director.

The performance schedule for STANDBY is as follows: Friday, July 19 at 8pm; Saturday, July 20 at 1pm;Sunday, July 21 at 9pm; Tuesday, July 23 at 5pm and Sunday, July 28 at 5pm.

The production is being staged at The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center located at 480 W. 42nd Street. The Pershing Square Signature Center is the official hub of The New York Musical Theatre Festival.
