Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus' smash hit musical MAMMA MIA! will welcome husband and wife Broadway stars John Dossett and Michele Pawk, Carey Anderson, Andy Kelso and Olga Merediz to Broadway on Wednesday, October 19th at the Cadillac Winter Garden Theatre (1634 Broadway at 50th Street).

Husbands and wives starring opposite each other on the Broadway musical stage is a rarity. Over forty years ago Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme headlined Golden Rainbow, that same year Shirley Jones and Jack Cassidy bowed in Maggie Flynn and over twenty years ago Sandy Duncan and Don Correia starred in My One and Only.

Now, Tony Award® winning actress Michele Pawk (Hollywood Arms), star of the musicals Cabaret, Chicago and Seussical; playing Donna Sheridan opposite husband Tony Award® nominated actor John Dossett (Gypsy, Democracy) as Sam Carmichael are the new Lunts of Broadway!

In MAMMA MIA!, Sam returns to the Greek island where the young lovers met twenty years earlier. In real life, Dossett and Pawk first met while performing together in Lincoln Center's Hello Again in 1993 and have not worked together since.

Husband and wife were both nominated for 2003 Tony Awards®. Michele Pawk received her first nomination and win for her performance in Carrie Hamilton and Carol Burnett's Hollywood Arms, while John Dossett received a nomination for his work opposite Bernadette Peters' Rose in the Broadway revival of Gypsy.

Olga Merediz (Reckless, Man of LaMancha) joins the cast as Rosie and Judy McLane (Kiss of the Spiderwoman, Chess, Johnny Guitar) continues as Tanya, Donna's best friends and former back-up band who reunite for the wedding of Donna's daughter, Sophie.

Sophie Sheridan will be played by Carey Anderson, who comes direct from the National tour of MAMMA MIA!, where she understudied and performed the role of Sophie. Her fiancé, Sky, will be played by Andy Kelso. This will mark the Broadway debuts of both actors.

David Beach (Urinetown, Moon Over Buffalo) and Mark L. Montgomery (Off Broadway's Rose Rage) continue in the roles of Harry Bright and Bill Austin, the two other men from Donna's past.

Inspired by the story-telling magic of ABBA's timeless songs, Tony Award® nominated writer Catherine Johnson's sunny, funny tale of family and friendship unfolds on a tiny Greek island. On the eve of her wedding, a daughter's quest to discover the identity of her father brings three men from her mother's past back to the island they last visited twenty years ago. Songs including "Dancing Queen"; "The Winner Takes It All"; "Money, Money, Money" and "Take A Chance on Me" are all featured in this feel-good night of fun and laughter.

With more productions playing simultaneously around the world than any other musical - eleven productions in six languages - MAMMA MIA! is the world's number one show! From West End smash to global phenomenon, MAMMA MIA! has been seen by over twenty three million people across North America, Australasia, Europe and Asia. MAMMA MIA! is acclaimed by the Associated Press as "quite simply, a phenomenon."

Produced by Judy Craymer, Richard East and Björn Ulvaeus for Littlestar in association with Universal, the creative team responsible for bringing MAMMA MIA! to theatrical life includes some of the most gifted and celebrated talents of musical theatre and opera. With music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, MAMMA MIA! is written by Catherine Johnson and directed by Phyllida Lloyd. MAMMA MIA! has choreography by Anthony Van Laast, production design by Mark Thompson, lighting design by Howard Harrison, sound design by Andrew Bruce and Bobby Aitken, and musical supervision, additional material and arrangements by Martin Koch.
