MOTOWN's N'Kenge to Perform at New Yorker Hotel for Couture Fashion Week's Final Showing, 9/8

Motown The Musical's N'Kenge will give a special performance at the New Yorker Hotel for Couture Fashion Week's Final Showing on Sunday Sept 8th at 8:00PM located at 481 Eighth Avenue New York, NY 10001. N'Kenge will be wearing a custom designed dress by Chauncy Couture by BLT Evans.

N'Kenge made her Broadway debut as an Standby to Vanessa Williams in Sondheim on Sondheim and starred in the West End production of The Genius of Ray Charles. Her film and TV credits include Boston Public, Ophelia and American Tragedy. Off-Broadway, she has appeared in Tut and Broadway Diva Christmas. She currently plays Mary Wells in Motown on Broadway.

At home on the opera stage as well, N'Kenge has been seen in a range of opera roles including Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro, Musetta in La Boheme and Therese in Les Mamelles de Tiresias. N'Kenge has made solo appearances at Carnegie Hall, the White House, Kennedy Center, and at the Library of Congress which was broadcast worldwide through NPR.

N'Kenge received a Helen Hayes Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a musical as a Diva in Marion Caffey's 3 Mo'Divas and received an Arizoni Theatre Award nomination for Best Actress for the title role in Elton John's Aida.
