MESHELLE Comes to The Public Theater

MESHELLE affectionately called "The Indie-Mom of Comedy" returns to New York in a big way after a whirlwind tour of her one-woman show, Diary Of A MILF" (Mom I'd Love to FOLLOW).

Meshelle will be at Joe's Pub at The Public Theater for one-night-only, July 26.

Meshelle's brand of wild but family-style humor has brought her praise and accolades. From New York's Midtown Festival to the Atlanta Black Theatre Festival, Diary of a MILF has racked up laughs and lauds.

Meshelle has been a vivacious and visible personality on television for many years. Previous appearances include Nickelodeon's Search for the Funniest Mom in America 3; THE FIRST AMENDMENT STAND UP (on STARz); BET's ComicView; LaffMobb Presents:We Got Next; Soulaughable Comedy Series; and the NBC syndicated Documentary, Walk a Mile In My Shoes: 90 Year Look at The NAACP. As a stage actress, MESHELLE created the role of "Michelle" (portrayed by Kimberly Elise in the film adaptation) in the hit stage play, "Woman Thou Art Loosed" written by TD Jakes and Terry McFadden.

Meshelle will be appearing in the fall as part of the United Solo Festival on Theatre Row but until then she is "full speed ahead," she says, on her Public Theater debut.

She is also author of "101 Things Every Girl/Young Woman of Color Should Know" (Duafe Press, 2010).
