MC/Poet Baba Israel curates in collaboration with Urban Word a spoken word slam reflecting on the end of the first black presidency and the many questions surrounding President Obama's legacy. The evening includes the return of Universes who will perform a set and share an excerpt from their new show Party People, which opens this fall at The Public Theater and music by DJ Reborn.

Baba Israel is an artist, producer and educator and the son of the late Steve Ben Israel, core member of New York's iconic The Living Theater. Obama Out: Mic Drop is part of New York Live Arts' Open Spectrum Community Dialogue series, curated in association with MAPP International.
