Les Enfants Terribles Announces Full Casting For THE TERRIBLE INFANTS

Today, award-winning theatre company Les Enfants Terribles have announced the full cast for the anniversary production of The Terrible Infants. Staged at Wilton's Music Hall in East London and featuring new creative material, The Terrible Infants will run from 27 September to 28 October, with a press night on Tuesday 3 October.

The ensemble cast will include: Becky Bainbridge, Richard Booth, Oliver Lansley, Serena Manteghi and Christo Squire.

The Terrible Infants is a collection of twisted short stories by Oliver Lansley and Sam Wyer, which recall both Roald Dahl and Tim Burton, performed with inventive puppetry and atmospheric live music. Following the phenomenal success of Alice's Adventure's Underground at The Vaults and to reflect Les Enfants Terribles' bold and innovative theatricality, this ten year anniversary staging will feature new creative material.

Featuring recorded narration from Judi Dench, The Terrible Infants originally debuted in 2007 before multiple appearances on nationwide tours and around the world in places such as; Australia, Poland, Norway, and Singapore. The production received numerous awards when it debuted a decade ago including Best Entertainment and Outstanding Theatre in the Fringe Report in 2008, as well as Outstanding Artistic Merit from Argus Angel Award. It is directed by James Seager and Oliver Lansley.

Becky Bainbridge's previous credits for Les Enfants Terribles include Alice's Adventures Underground (The Vaults) and The Vaudevillains (The Lowry & Charing Cross Theatre). Becky's further theatre includes Philip Pullman's Grimm Tales (The Ditch), Mamma Mia! (Prince of Wales & Novello Theatre), Partners in Crime (Queens Theatre), The Goodbye Girl (Gatehouse), Our House (New Wolsey Theatre and UK tour) One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest (Leicester Curve), Hi De Hi! (UK Tour), Cabaret (Lyric Theatre & West End Cast Recording), Tonight's the Night (UK Tour), Jailhouse Rock (Piccadilly Theatre), The Rocky Horror Show (European Tours), Buddy (UK & European Tours), Cinderella (Liverpool Playhouse), Mother Goose (Liverpool Everyman).

Becky's other work includes Gladys Pugh on All Star Mr & Mrs (ITV) as well as commercials for Acuvue, Sainsbury's Active Kids, Lynx Twist, Heineken, and Big Yellow Storage and voiceovers for the characters of Mollyflower & KatNip in the Nintendo Wii game Bonsai Barber'. Becky can also be heard on the soundtrack of the feature film The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy amongst a chorus of singing dolphins.

Richard Booth trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and his previous theatre credits have included Alice's Adventure's Underground (The Vaults), War Horse (New London Theatre), Kate Bush: Before the Dawn (Hammersmith Apollo), Hansel & Gretel (Citizens Theatre), BFG (Bolton Octagon), Goosebumps Alive (The Vaults), Dracula (Erasmus Theatre Italian tour), The Girl With No Heart (The Bedlam), Constance & Sinestra, Titus Andronicus, Cheophori (all for Action to the Word), The Ghost Train, The Government Inspector (The Lost Theatre).

In addition to his work on stage, Richard's credits on film include War Horse (NT Live) and music videos for Plan B and Raleigh Ritchie. Richard's radio credits include: 2010 Space Commander, Angels in the Dark and Trick or Treat Christmas (Wireless Theatre Company). Richard is an associate artist with Flabbergast Theatre, co-creating and performing in their critically acclaimed Boris & Sergey productions: Vaudevillian Adventure, Perilous Escapade, Astonishing Freakatorium, and the Preposterous Improvisation Experiment, which have toured extensively across the U.K. and internationally.

Oliver Lansley is the Artistic Director of Les Enfants Terribles Theatre Company. He is a writer, director, producer and actor and is involved in the direction of all the company's output.

As an actor he's best known for playing Kenny Everett in the BAFTA-winning The Best Possible Taste which earned him a Best Actor nomination at the RTS Awards. Other credits include The Wrong Mans, Sherlock, Holby City, Eastenders and Misfits. On stage, Oliver's theatre credits include playing Eddy in Berkoff's Greek (Riverside Studios) to lead roles in the numerous LET productions he has toured nationally and internationally with The Infant, The Terrible Infants, The Trench, Ernest and the Pale Moon and The Vaudevillains.

Oliver's first published play Immaculate was listed in the top ten best-selling plays at Samuel French London in 2010. In 2011 his Les Enfants Terribles: Collected Plays was published by Oberon books, along with a number of other titles including Flies and The Infant. Oliver has seen his work produced all around the world as well as being translated into several different languages.

Oliver co-created BBC 2 series Whites, and Rose D'or nominated ITV2 series FM. Other writing work includes the Nick Frost series Mr Sloane and Alan Davies' Little Cracker for Sky, which he also directed.

Serena Manteghi's previous theatre credits include: The Rise and Fall of Little Voice (Stephen Joseph Theatre), Echoes (Brits Off Broadway), My Mother Said I Never Should (St. James Theatre), The Railway Children (Kings Cross Theatre), HEART (Traverse Theatre), Mucky Kid (Theatre 503) and Agamemnon (Southwark Playhouse). Serena is also an accomplished singer, her musical theatre credits include Some Small Love Story (Arts Theatre) and The Beggar's Opera (York Theatre Royal). In addition to her work on stage, Serena has appeared on film in Harvest, What Are You Waiting For and Miss J.

Christo Squire has worked as an actor and musician in a range of productions including The Masque of the Red Death (Punchdrunk), Moulin Rouge (Secret Cinema), The Bear/ An Unwilling Martyr (Factory Theatre) and Bluff & Bloomers (Shunt).

Christo is the founder and artistic director of Perhaps Contraption, who have toured internationally, released four albums to date, and won the Haizetara International Street Music Competition in 2014 and 2015. He is currently in residence at Snape Maltings creating a new multimedia performance with the troupe. His first solo album as Squier Squier was released in 2016.
