First reported by today's New York Post by Michael Riedel, Legends!, a 1986 comedy written by James Kirkword and starring Mary Martin and Carol Channing will be revived in 2006, starring previous Dynasty co-stars Joan Collins, and Linda Evans. The two will play former movie stories, fighting with one another, and fighting for their former glory.

When originally produced, Legends! was filled with as many backstage dramas as it was onstage. The show was also attacked by critics as it toured the country amd never made its schedule Broadway debut after Mary Martin pulled out.

The new production of Legends! is scheduled for an out of town tryout in Toronto before moving to Broadway in 2006. In it, Joan Collins will play Sylvia Glenn, the more vicious of the stars, and Linda Evans will play Leatrice Monsee, the sweeter of the pair.

While not a critical success, the original touring Legends! was considered to be a financial success on its 23-city tour.

Joan Collins most recently appeared on Broadway in the revival of Private Lives in 1992, a role she also played in the West End. She got her stage start at the very early age of nine, in a production of Ibsen's A Doll's House. Other major stage credits include The Skin of Our Teeth, The Seventh Veil, Claudia & David and The Praying Mantis, and The Last of Mrs. Cheyney. A best-selling author, as well as Golden Globe and People's Choice Award winning actress has also starred in more than 55 films, and 30 television shows.

This will mark Linda Evans' Broadway debut. She has garnered several on-screen awards such as a Golden Globe, five People's Choice Awards, and an emmy nomination. She most recently appeared on stage in London, playing Mrs. Robinson in The Graduate.
