Lady will perform on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 8pm at SubCulture: Arts Underground, 45 Bleecker Street, Downstairs, New York, NY.

Lady is composed of Nicole Wray and her band, and also happens to be the name of their latest album. Nicole has been around the music block, starting at age 17 when she was discovered and signed by Missy Elliot. Since then, she lent her voice to the hip-hop and R&B world to the likes of Missy, Cam'ron, and Kid Cudi, crossing over to indie rock on The Black Keys' acclaimed album Brothers. The rock duo then encouraged Nicole to mature and grow as a musician, which lead to the new concept of creating Lady and their latest release. The sound spans the mellowness and pop flair of 60's soul, with the driving beat of hip-hop, and the silky smooth rhythms of R&B, and can be heard on the SubCulture stage June 30th.

Tickets: $15 in advance / $20 day of performance. Online at www.subculturenewyork.com/event/560649-lady-new-york.
