Kathleen Chalfant Stars In The Film THE LAST NEW YORKER, Opens 2/19 In NYC

Award-winning actress Kathleen Chalfant co-stars in the film "THE LAST NEW YORKER" opening February 19th in NYC. Directed by Harvey Wang, the film also stars Dominic Chianese (Uncle Junior, The Sopranos) and Tony Award winner Dick Latessa (Hairspray).
Ms. Chalfant plays ‘Mimi Hotchkiss', the romantic heart of the film. The film is a love letter to New York and many of the people and places that are vanishing in front of our eyes with the gentrification of the city. Directed by fellow New Yorker, Emmy Award-winning filmmaker and photographer Harvey Wang, the film is based on his book of portraits of older New Yorkers dealing with the ever-changing city.Kathleen Chalfant is well known to theatre audiences for her moving portrayal of Vivian Bearing in the New York, Los Angeles and London productions of the Pulitzer Prize-winning drama WIT. For her performance, Ms. Chalfant received the Drama Desk Award, Lucille Lortel Award, Outer Critics Circle Award, Drama League Award, LA Ovation Award, Connecticut Critics Circle Award, as well as her second Obie Award.
