Cuban heat is coming to the Blue Note this March when Juan de Marcos and the Afro-Cuban All Stars stop by for a week on their U.S. tour. The Afro-Cuban All Stars Orchestra is a creation of acclaimed Cuban producer, Juan de Marcos Gonzalez, best known for his work with the Buena Vista Social Club. Deemed the "Quincy Jones" of Cuba, he built his orchestra using Cuba's best musicians & vocalists. Juan de Marcos is available for interviews in person during the tour in select locations.
The band features Juan de Marcos González (bandleader), Gliceria Abreu (afro-cuban percussion),Julito Padrón (trumpet & flugelhorn), Yaure Muñiz (trumpet & flugelhorn), Yoanny Pino (trumpet & flugelhorn), Lázaro Oviedo (trumpet & flugelhorn), José Antonio "Tony" Moreaux (bongo & cowbell), Antonio "Pacha" Portuondo (timbale set), Rolando "Niño Mentira" Salgado (congas),Gabriel Hernández (piano), Alberto Pantaleón (bass), Evelio Galán (lead singer), Emilio Suarez(lead singer) José Gilito Piñera (lead singer), Laura Lydia González (clarinet), Gliceria González(keyboards & backup vocals).

Full dinner menu available and full bar with all premier liquors, domestic, and international beer available nightly. There is a $5 food/drink minimum per person, per set. No reservations are accepted for the bar - it is only available at the door, the night of the show.
