HYSTERICAL A Clown Thriller Will Play Hollywood Fringe Festival
Jackie Skinner's solo show will be staged at Skiptown Playhouse in Los Angeles
Jackie Skinner will present HYSTERICAL, a clown thriller and new work written, devised, and performed by Skinner, as part of the 2026 Hollywood Fringe Festival at Skiptown Playhouse, Los Angeles.
A (gorgeous) woman has been performing in this room for years. Usually to nobody. Tonight you're here. She's been waiting for this. She's afraid to find out why. HYSTERICAL is a clown thriller that opens with warmth and humor and slowly reveals the darkness underneath. There is audience interaction. Nobody leaves their seat.

Jackie Skinner is a comedic performance artist and clown from Waltham, Massachusetts, a place she has since left to now live in Los Angeles. Recently, their show Jackie and Allison Into the Multiverse toured comedy festivals across the US. The Boston Globe called it "elevating absurdity to art," which Jackie framed, and the show won BEST COMEDY and SELL OUT awards at the 2025 NYC Fringe.
Skinner is also the creator of Clown Storm, a bi-weekly work-in-progress space for clowns at the Elysian Theater. She's studied multiple comedy formats at UCB, Second City, Magnet Theater, and Hideout Theater, and has studied clown with Aitor Basauri, Chris Bayes, Phil Burgers/Doc Brown, and The Idiot Workshop. She's brought past works to Edinburgh Fringe (A Beautiful Night), Boston Fringe (Jackie & Allison), New York City Fringe (Jackie & Allison), and Philly Fringe (Composed).
