Get A Taste Of Summer At Mini-Camp Open House At The Staten Island Children's Museum The Staten Island Children's Museum is getting ready for summer and will offer nine fun and educational week-long camps in July and August

To give potential campers a preview, the Children's Museum is hosting a "Mini-Camp Open House" on Saturday, May 12 from 10:00 am - Noon. Children can participate in an activity that will be offered at one of the camps and see all that a summer at the Museum has to offer!

Those who register for camp at the Open House will receive the 5% Early Bird Discount and free admission for 2 guests to the Museum for the day!

Camp is open for children ages 4 - 9 and sibling and multi-camp discounts are also available. Some camps are almost full already and space is limited.

Here's the Mini-Camp lineup for Summer 2018:

July 2 - 6 SUMMER FUN CAMP
Good old summertime fun! Campers enjoy games on the meadow, relay races, arts & crafts and more! (No camp on July 4.)


July 9 - 13 COOKING CAMP
Create different recipes and try delicious foods each day. Create a take home cookbook.

July 16 - 20 GREEN THUMB CAMP
Discover amazing plants and do some fun plant-based activities. Learn about habitats, adaption, and survival, and take home a mini terrarium!

July 23 - 27 ARTY CAMP - ALMOST SOLD OUT! CALL TO REGISTER
Campers learn different techniques and styles of art through introductions to the works of famous artists. They'll create their own art using a variety of media.

July 30 - August 3 HONK! NYC MUSIC & PERFORMING ARTS CAMP
Build your own instruments, make costumes and dance to the beat of your own drum with HONK! NYC, the fun-filled street festival band.


August 6 - 10 COOKING CAMP
New recipes and projects!

August 13 - 17 STEAM CAMP - ALMOST SOLD OUT! CALL TO REGISTER
Have fun doing independent hands-on projects and collaborate on group experiments that explore science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM)!

August 20 - 24 SUPERHEROES, HEROINES + SIDEKICKS
Save the day in an interdisciplinary performing arts and visual arts camp role-playing as your favorite alter ego!

August 27 - 31 SUMMER FUN CAMP - ALMOST SOLD OUT! CALL TO REGISTER

The Staten Island Children's Museum is located on the grounds of Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Gardens, 1000 Richmond Terrace, Staten Island, NY 10301. The Museum is open Tuesday through Friday, 11:00 am to 5:00 pm during the school year; 10:00 am to 5:00 pm weekends, summers and most public school holidays.
