First Look At Benedict Cumberbatch In RICHARD III For BBC's THE HOLLOW CROWN: THE WAR OF THE ROSES

A first look at international stage and screen superstar Benedict Cumberbatch in the new BBC TV adaptation of William Shakespeare's historical tragedy RICHARD III is now available to view.

RICHARD III will be presented as part of the second season of acclaimed Shakespeare series THE HOLLOW CROWN, which will also include HENRY VI Parts 1, 2 and 3 (to be presented in three installments), all directed by Dominic Cooke.

The star-studded cast of RICHARD III also includes Judi Dench, Hugh Bonneville, Keeley Hawes, Sophie Okonedo, Tom Strurridge and Sally Hawkins.

Of note, Cumberbatch will also headline a new West End production of Shakespeare's HAMLET in 2015.

THE HOLLOW CROWN is expected to premiere on BBC2 in the UK in 2016, followed by PBS airings.
