Elton John & Leon Russell's 'The Union' Album Gets 10/19 US Release

According to Billboard Tony Award winner Elton John has teamed up with Leon Russell to release the album 'The Union.' The album will be released in the United States on October 19 and in the United Kingdom on October 25. The album is produced by T Bone Burnett.

Tracks on the album are written by John, Russell, Burnett and Bernie Taupin. Providing guest vocals on the ablum will be Neil Young and BrIan Wilson. Also featured on the album will be a ten-piece gospel choir, Booker T. Jones, and Robert Randolph.

Cover art for 'The Union' has yet to be released.

John and Russell have been friends for many years and even went on tour together in the past.

John's Tony Award winning shows BILLY ELLIOT and THE LION KING are currently running on Broadway. John also wrote and won a Tony Award for AIDA. Russell has released over 40 albums of country, rock and R&B music.
