Edie Falco is this year's recipient of the 2010 Primetime Emmy for Best Leading Actress in a Comedy for Showtime's Nurse Jackie. Falco last appeared onstage in New York in This Wide Night opposite Alison Pill and has starred on Broadway in 'night Mother, Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, and Side Man.

The 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards is airing live coast to coast tonight, on August 29 (8-11 p.m. EST) on NBC, originating from the Nokia Theatre L.A. in Los Angeles. The awards are being produced by Don Mischer and hosted by Jimmy Fallon.

Other theatre stars receiving nods included Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Hope Davis, Dame Judi Dench, Chris Colfer, Patrick Stewart, Michael Emerson, Dame Maggie Smith, Glenn Close, Al Pacino, Michael Sheen, Sir Ian McKellen, Michael C.
