Donna Karan International Appoints Chief Executive Officer

LVMH announced that Caroline Brown has been named Chief Executive Officer of Donna Karan International, effective January 15th, 2015. Caroline Brown will report to Pierre-Yves Roussel, Chairman and CEO of LVMH Fashion Group.

Mark Weber, the incumbent CEO of Donna Karan International, is becoming a consultant for LVMH. Toni Belloni, LVMH Group Managing Director, declared "I want to thank Mark for his strong contribution over the last eight years. Mark has brought his steady hand to the organization, and led the business to seize new opportunities. Most recently, he has been helping us plan for the future of the House."

A graduate of Boston University, Caroline Brown started her career in 1991 at Bidermann Industries, before joining Giorgio Armani in 1993 in the US. She was their SVP Marketing and Communications for the US when she was hired in 2006 as CEO, Akris, US. Since 2010 she has been President of Carolina Herrera, a global fashion and fragrance business.
