Company's Matt Castle Stops by The After Party, June 22

The Laurie Beechman Theatre continues The After Party, which runs every Friday from 10:30PM till 2AM, with a visit by Company star Matt Castle.  After Party is hosted by Mac and Bistro Award winner Brandon Cutrell ("Broadway By The Year" at Town Hall, Pippin) and XL Star winner Alysha Umphress (Boston Pops). The evening also features Bistro Award winner Ray Fellman (Musical Director, Captain Louie) on piano and MAC Award winner Lisa Asher (Stranded in the Moonlight).  

The Friday, June 22nd edition welcomes special guest Castle, who will be on hand along with Gusty Winds to greet fans and perform a few numbers. 

Castle currently plays Peter – and piano and bass – in the Tony Award-winning revival of Company.  Off-Broadway credits include The Musical of Musicals, in which he played both Willy and Jitter, and the York Theatre's LingoLand, for which he also served as musical director and arranger.  Regional work includes roles at Paper Mill Playhouse, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Sacramento Theatre Company, and Music Circus.  Musical direction credits include York Mufti series, Jean Cocteau Rep, Theater Ten Ten, and many, MANY new works at NYMTF, NAMT, BMI, Tisch, Theatreworks/USA, et al.  In concerts, he has worked as arranger and vocal soloist with Omaha and Stockton symphonies, and over 250 solo and chamber recitals at venues across the country.

In 2005, Gusty Winds won the title of Miss Fire Island Entertainer of the Year as well as the Glammy Award for Performance of the year.  She was awarded the title of Miss Grove Hotel in 2001, an award given by Fire Island's popular Grove Hotel.  A nine-time Glammy nominee, she has been on the cover of the New York Post and featured in Entertainment Weekly and US Magazine.  Her television appearances include "Prime Time Live with Diane Sawyer," "The Today Show," "Ricki Lake," and "Sally Jesse Raphael."

Guests can sing at the open mic or sit back and enjoy a cocktail. There is no cover charge and no minimum, and a full bar and bar menu available. Reservations are not necessary, although audience members are recommended to arrive early. Seating is first come, first serve, and priority seating may be given to those who wish to order from the menu and/or the bar.
