By: Mar. 10, 2010

SKETCH OFF! - April 5th @ 7:30pm

On April 5th, some of the best sketch comedy groups in New York City will be appearing at Comix. That's right; we're taking a break from hosting stand up and exposing our audiences to sketch comedy with troupes like Dutch West and more. These groups have appeared everywhere from YouTube to College Humor, but tonight they'll be performing their best work for you!

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 on the day of show, plus a two drink minimum purchase in the showroom.

TOM SHILLUE'S TELL: WORLDS COLLIDE
April 7th @ 7:30pm

Tom Shillue is a storyteller that is largely responsible for making storytelling shows hip in New York City. He's been on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, had his own Comedy Central Presents, and now he brings his talents to Comix. On this show, Tom invites performers from different genres, like improv, sketch, standup comedy, and storytelling, and has them tell the best stories they have. You'll definitely laugh, but you might also get a glimpse into the lives of some of your favorite performers.

Tickets are $10 plus a two drink minimum in the showroom.

THE SQUEAKY DIRTY, FILTHY CLEAN SHOW
April 7th @ 9:30pm

Whether you're easily offended or someone with a taste for filthy hilarious comedy, we've got a show for you- on the same night! It's The Squeaky Dirty, Filthy, Clean Show at Comix! Join host Bryan Kennedy as he welcomes to the stage some of the cleanest and dirtiest comics around! Will the clean comics let a few f-bombs slip? Will the dirty comics wash their mouths out with soap before the show? Come and see for yourself! Bubble bath and mud not included.

Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 day of show plus a two drink minimum purchase in the showroom.

AN EVENING WITH RACHEL FEINSTEIN AND RORY ALBANESE- April 8th @ 9:30pm

Fresh off the premieres of both of their Comedy Central Presents, Rachel Feinstein and Rory Albanese will come to spend an evening with Comix. Rachel, in addition to her new 30 minute special on Comedy Central, has been seen in most major comedy festivals, as well as TBS' Just for Laughs comedy shows. Rory is the executive producer of The Daily Show as well as a comedian, and he has toured with Lewis Black on top of recording his brand new Comedy Central Presents.
