Tony Award-winner Christine Ebersole (Grey Gardens) will host the Touring Broadway Awards, Monday, April 16 at 6PM, at 1605 Broadway, Crowne Plaza Times Square Ballroom, 2nd floor. Ebersole will present with Tony Award-nominee Michael Mayer (director, Spring Awakening), and Tony Award-winner Natasha Katz (Lighting Designer, AIDA). Presented by the League of American Theatres & Producers and established in 2000, the Awards are the first to recognize touring Broadway. Past winners have included Wicked, Golda's Balcony, Les Misérables, Susan Stroman, Bob Fosse, Martin Pakledinaz, and Fred Ebb & John Kander.

The 2007 Touring Broadway Awards categories are: Best New Musical, Best Play, Best Production Design, Best Musical Score, Best Direction, Best Choreography, Best Long-Running Musical (shows that have been on the road for over three years) and Touring Broadway Achievement Award (recognizing a performer, individual or organization that has shown exceptional dedication to Touring Broadway). New to this year's ceremony is the Touring Broadway People's Choice Award, in which members of the League's Broadway Fan Club have the opportunity to vote online for their favorite Touring Broadway show.
